Fancy the best ice cream? Gault & Millau tips these ten addresses in Flanders (inland)
1. Ice Ice Amy (Ghent and Ostend)
Amélie Cobbaert from Ice Ice Amy has reinvented the concept of ice by focusing on pure, natural ingredients without ready-made mixes or additives. Two years her search for the perfect texture and taste lasted. That resulted « in a unique ice experience that exceeds traditional boundaries, » said Gault & Millau. She buys the ingredients from local farmers and growers, so that the offer moves with the seasons. What do you think of signature flavors such as ‘vanilla pudding with speculoos’ or the Limited Edition ‘Purple Disco Lavender’? One of the favorite ice cream parlors of the inspectors.
