« Zorki and Flower » – a picture book for the balance between modern technology and real life
After the award -winning children’s book « Once Once », writer and editor -in -law Olivera Forveziroska and illustrator Natalia Lukomska collaborate on another extremely edition for children – the new picture book « Zorki and Cvetka ». The book, published by « Libby », part of « Ars Lamina – Publications », is the current story of the friendship and influence of modern technology in children’s everyday life.
« Zorki and Flower » is a picture book of a very current topic: modern technology in children’s everyday life. It is a friendship between two completely different children.
Zorki is constantly inside, he lives in the virtual world of the mobile phone, the tablet, the computer and the TV. The blossom, on the other hand, is constantly out, it lives in the real world of the sun, trees, laughter and games, where with the help of a single (wooden frame) manages to create a wonderful childhood without any restrictions. The balance between modern technology and the real, real life is presented both at a visual level, and through the thoughtful illustrations of Lukom: the black and white world of modern technology interferes with the color of reality and eventually melts into functional unity, both for children and life. « Zorki and Cvetka » is a possible literary « solution » for correction of the children’s world such as unfortunately.
Olivera Forveziroska is the author of the following books: « Third Floor » and « High White » (poetry); « Kidlicki Mirna » and « My Brother of Thirteenth Floor » (children’s novels); « Grandpa Mile » (picture book); « Are the dreams open », « One text and a woman » and « on the half » (criticism and essayist); « LO Body of Lu », « AB’T » and « Three Marias » (adult novels); « The suffering of the young lecturer », « (s) knitted stories », « Two pillows », « (with) sewn stories », « Sugar -free novels », « The streets that do not have » and « leap years » (adult short stories).
