« Zjerm » of Shkodra Electronic is the gift that Albania has brought to Eurovision 2025

By Albert Vataj

Piccole Storie, one of the most followed Italian pages, has made a wonderful treatment for Albania’s starting representation at Eurovision 2025.
… Why is the song of Albania a true unprecedented masterpiece?! Ask Piccole Storie at the entrance of this elaboration; How presenters and exciting, as true and original, laconic and essentially aesthetic, poetic to singing, benevolent and correctly based on aesthetic arguments.
This feeling that comes from the Italian spirit, as a light thread, this creative and interpretive explosion, this courageous approach of Shkodra artists, to make history, to remain in the Eurovision memory as one of the hardest shots of song and the most thunderous speech.
There are songs that are heard, says « Piccole Storie ».
And then there are songs that are no longer heard by ear, but with a soul. Who do not follow the rhythm, but create it, like an ancient pulse that comes from the earth and goes to heaven, to call the souls from eternity, embodying them with the dream of living in peace and marveling in creation.
« Zjerm » is not a song. It’s a revelation.
It is a path through the sound, a path through hope, a rite that comes out of the wound and returns to light.
In a world where the song is often an empty sound, this is a breath. It is a depth that calls for depth, a non -name of the commodity that burns quietly between speech and silence.
Albania has not brought a participation in Eurovision. Has brought a trust. A blessed oil that does not cry for himself, but for everything that is extinguishing in man.
« Zjerm » is what remains when music rests … and feelings have nowhere to hide.

There are songs that are heard, Piccole Storie continues…
And then there are songs that live. To enter as an ancient whisper and to awaken something you have forgotten. « Zjerm » is one of them.
It is the gift that Albania brought to Eurovision 2025 this year, but it would be reduced to call it simply « a song ».
It is an electronic prayer, a sacred dance, a dialogue between hope and reality, staged by the Italian-Albanian Doubles Shkodra Electronic, Beatrice Gjergji and Kole Laca.
Born in Shkodra, in the north of Albania, a city where languages, religions, rituals and silence have coexisted for centuries, today live in Italy, but keep within them the voice of mountains, rivers, memory. And that voice, in the song « Zjerm », becomes a scream that makes no noise, but puts his heart on fire.

Beatrice dreams. Kola notes.
The song opens with a vision.
A vision that comes from Beatrice, bright, clean, almost childish in its stubbornness.
It only takes a minute. Only one.
A time fragment in which the world can finally breathe.
“Imagine a minute…
Soldiers
Orphaned
Ocean -free
Where the oil smells lilac
And the word is free
Kindness has no name
Freedom is taught in schools. ”
That minute imagined by the Beatrice is all that the world is missing: it is someone’s dream, who knows that he does not live in the right place but still chooses to dance, sing, believe.
And here, she sings:
« Create with me a clean heart »
« In my night, send you light »
« Please, have mercy »
And here is a powerful, full of symbols phrase:
« Aman, Miterare »
A verse that unites two beliefs, two worlds, two pains.
« Aman », Arabic words, used in Sufi songs, in lamentations, in soft screams.
« Miterare », the Holy Latin, Christian prayers, prayers.
Two religions meet in a single universal call, which transcends boundaries and becomes humanity.
It is not a demand for mercy for yourself. It’s a prayer for the whole world.
But shortly thereafter, Kola takes the floor.
And he does this with the wounded voice of someone who has ceased to dream.
« Fire falls on our tribal dances »
« Seven knives pierce the soul »
« People fall like avalanche » «
« We don’t see the stars anymore … we have violated them »
Kola is the other side of hope. It’s a disappointment.
He talks about a world that no longer has poetry that has forgotten the moon, which is hungry for power and blind to beauty.
The song is not anger: it’s sober pain. Is the call not to forget reality.
And just when everything seems extinguished…
Beatrice begins to sing again.
“In my heart, good people
Nameless people
They dance in the valley of the soul ”
“Jarna us’ tu, my land…
Continue to shine
Shine, shine ”
Zermi is not the one that destroys.
It is the fire that cleans, shining, escaping.
It is the flame that remains alive when everything around is extinguished.
It is the fragile strength of those who continue to dance, even over the ruins.
« Zjerm » is Beatrice minutes.
Minutes that all of us, deeply, want.
Minutes in which the world stops…
… And for a moment it really breathes.
With an unprecedented union of electronics and tradition, poetry and spirituality, Albania’s song is not only the most powerful of this Eurovision: it is an experience.
A meditation in music.
An act of love for what humanity has lost.
A silent but unstoppable invitation:
Dream again.
Burn from beauty inside.
And even when they say it’s useless… dance…

In a scene that often requires shine to hide the gap, « Zjerm » does not shine to blind. Shine to remember.
It is the song that climbs from the earth as a silent prayer and descends from heaven as a response that does not seek words.
It is the moment when we stop running after the spectacle … and we hear the soul breathe.
You do not burn in this fire.
In this fire you become a man.
And dances.
Even on ruins.
Even when everything is extinguished.
Because « Zjerm » is not the end of a song.
Is the beginning of a non -ending prayer.
It’s that minute of Beatrice – that if we were all living together … … we would save the world.
