At the end of April, the first phase of the rebuild was concluded, during which the middle part of the transmission was restored. Currently, the right side of the bridge has begun.
During the first stage of work, the middle part of the transmission was dismantled up to the beams of the span, followed by a concrete plant, deformation of the joints and waterproofing, as well as asphalt concrete.
In parallel, supports were increased at the bottom of the bridge, the intermediate part supported, the cleaning and repair of the span was performed. The temporary trolleybus contact network supports are also installed on the transmission to ensure the continuous movement of trolleybuses and the possibility of dismantling the existing poles and new construction.
The middle of the carriageway structure from Alexander Chak and the intersection of Pärnu Street to the bridge span was rebuilt. The reconstruction of sidewalk structures at the intersection and outside the pavement and pavement paving work has also begun.
In the second phase, the existing pavement and concrete disassembly from the span structures, in parallel, are carried out in the construction of overpower cornea molds and communications switching.
At the beginning of May, the demolition of the stairs of the Zemitan overpass, as well as the construction of drains and micropals, was also completed for the foundations of the new stairs and lifts, and the construction of the stairs themselves will soon be started.
Asphalt concrete pavement is currently undergoing a replacement of the pavement at the intersection of Pärnu and Aleksandra Čaka Streets. This is done mainly at night to reduce the impact on traffic. Paving paving and reconstruction of the carriageway structure continues. It is planned to start renovation work in the nearby area of the bridge soon – Ieriiki, Sapier and Alexander Chaka Street.

The bridge could be restored by the autumn of 2026. After the bridge rebuilds, environmental accessibility for pedestrians, cyclists and persons with reduced mobility will be significantly improved.
