Zelenskyjs US criticism: are afraid to even mention Russia
At least 18 people were killed and some 60 were injured when a Russian robot on Friday struck in a residential area in Zelenskyj’s hometown. In the vicinity of the impact site there was a playground and several of the victims are children, according to the president and local authorities.
At X, Zelesknyj lists the names of the children killed: from three -year -old Tymofiy to seventeen -year -old Nikita. In the same post he accuses Russia of completing another attack while the rescue work was going on.
The attack was followed of condemnations from a number of countries, which Zelenskyj thanks for the support. The president, on the other hand, is critical of the United States and the reaction from the country’s embassy. In a post on X, US ambassador Bridget Brink wrote that the attack shows why the war had to end, but without mentioning that Russia was behind it.
« Unfortunately, the response from the US embassy is a surprising disappointment. Such a strong country and people, and yet such a weak reaction, » writes Zelenskyj.
The world must not be Afraid to call things by their proper name and to put pressure on the attacker Russia, he writes. Russia claims that the goal of the attack was a meeting between Ukrainian commanders and military instructors from Western countries at a restaurant in the city.
