Young Narva athletes won medals at judo competitions and swimming
On April 5, the Austonian Judo Championship was held among boys and girls in the age group U13 (born 2013-2015) and among veterans, in which almost 200 athletes took part.
Pupils of the coaches of Ivan Novitsky, Vladimir Voevodin and Nikolai Novitsky from the Narva Sports School “Energia” won four medals at the competition: Dmitry Vorobyov became the champion of Estonia (73 kg, veterans); Aikiksi Vedernikov (U13, 36 kg) and Nazar Voznesensky (U13, 42 kg) won silver medals; Vasilisa Dikareva became the owner of a bronze medal (U13, 45 kg).
They fought for the bronze medal, but lost to the opponent and eventually took the fifth place Hussein Tagiev (U13, 32 kg), Nicole Lazovikova (U13, 32 kg) and Anna Petrova (U13, 36 kg).
From April 4 to 6, Madwave Challenge 2025, in which the strongest swimmers from Finland, Latvia and Estonia took part in Tartu, were held in Tartu. A student of the Narva Sports School “Energia” Maxim Opekhtin (born in 2011) won two medals: silver at a distance of 200 meters on the back (time 2: 36.15) and bronze at a distance of 100 meters on the back (1: 12.09).
Narvityanin Denis Chilev (born 2010) also became the owner of two medals: silver at a distance of 200 m butterfly (2: 39.64) and bronze at a distance of 200 m on the back (2: 26.47). The coach of athletes is Diana Gvozdeva.
On April 5, Sillamäe Kevad 2025 swimming competitions were held in the city of Sillavi, on which the young Narva swimmers showed excellent results, winning 14 medals: Maryana Makarenko (2016) – 1 place (50 m of freestyle style; 50 m Brasses; 50 m on the back); Sofia Sabinin (2017) – 1st place (50 m free style) and 3rd place (50 m Brass); Ivan Gavrilov (2014) – 1st place (50 m free style) and 2nd place (50 m on the back); Artyom Loginov (2015) – 1st place (50 m free style; 50 m butterfly); Michael Rafiev (2016) – 1 place (50 m freedom) and 2nd place (50 m on the back); Violetta Kalacheva (2014) – 2nd place (50 m on the back); Ekaterina Course (2015) – 3rd place (50 m butterfly/Open and born in 2015).
The coaches of the Narva athletes are Diana Gvozdeva, Sergey Izotov, Tatyana Vaino and Nadezhda Zabolotnikova.
