‘You won’t arrange our coach’. Here’s what the Turkish businessman donated to Sergei Jakirovic
Croatian coach Sergei Jakirović fit in perfectly into a new environment after the Turkish takeover Kayserispora. Ever since he arrived, the team played 12 games under his lead, scoring an impressive 23 points, making Kayserispor raised among the most successful teams during that period. More points at the same time won only Fenerbahçe (27) i Galatasaray (26). For comparison, before his arrival, the club only collected seven points in 19 rounds, which clearly speaks of the big turn that was brought by Jakirović.

With seven wins, three draws and only two defeats, the former Dinamo strategist deserved numerous praise, and Turkish media is increasingly calling him the hero Kayserispora. His work was recognized and supported by the famous Turkish businessman Mustafa Tokgözone of the key sponsor and club fans. Tokgöz split photos with Jakirovic on the social network X and wrote: « I have donated to the Amajli against spells and gifts to his headquarters and his headquarters. Jakirovic led the Dinamo Zagreb last season until the winning of the double crown. Still, his era ended up infamously, defeating Bayern with a score of 9-2 in the Champions League in September 2024.
