« You wanted fireworks, you will get fireworks »: protest in the tower, policing under full equipment (video, photo) – society

The Young Tower Initiative called for a protest and a peaceful and dignified stepping city.

The locals say the tower counts less than 15,000 inhabitants, and one of them joked and said that « there are currently more police than locals. »

Ljiljana Knezevic from this initiative says that « never saw this number of police members, » transmits N1.

« I’m a lot scared, because I’ve come to protect us and be in the service of citizens, but we will not know a number of SNS supporters, so I also came in and I am very scared, » she says.

She points out that cooperation with the police in the tower is wonderful.

« We don’t let us blame, all they so far said, but I don’t recognize Kuljan here, I don’t know what I can expect, I’m a lot of fear, » she says.

Speaking of the organization and the occasion of the protest, she says that they have experienced that « President of the Municipality of Damjan Miljanić throws his poltrons on the pyrotechnics ».

« We don’t call for violence, we came calmly to walk our city, dignified to maintain this protest, » she says.

The tower is not a political stage

While certain representatives of the opposition, they have been entering the restlessness, fear and chaos, the Municipal Board of the Serbian Advanced Party (SNS), the Tower remains firmly on the side of reason, laws and civil peace.

In a public-sent statement, the SNS tower points out that there is no place for political hooligans in this Vojvodina city, imported fan groups and those who use curses and insults instead of arguments.

« The tower is not a political stage for those who do not have the results, neither program, nor respect for citizens. Our city is the home of decent people who respect themselves and that they are made to build and commit themselves in a statement.

SNS representatives accuse the opposition to openly celebrate the arrival of violent groups from other municipalities, not hiding the desire to cause incidents. « We remind you that there is a stronger response from violence – it is work. We build our policy on projects, results and trust from citizens, not on the street, noise and crash, » they say from the SNS.

At the end of the announcements, they clearly say: « We will not allow anyone to jeopardize security, property and dignity of the tower. »

The Municipal Board of the SNS Tower calls all citizens to remain calm, not to be settled on provocations and to jointly guard their city from attempting to destabilize and violence.
