The valley, of which it is not an unusual fact that it was once below the lake level, in the north it borders Austria, in the south it gives a hand with the Municipality of Preddvor, and when it comes to the scenery, it is Grintovci, the Chain of Kamnik-Savinja Alps.

There is also a Šenkov homestead tourist farm, next to it is a camp. There are four apartments and seven rooms in the main and renovation house, ”says Polona. They have been rooms and apartments since 2014.

Farming the old

“There was a farm before that. Grandma farmed the old, with milk production, we had some cows, rented milk and lived from it, her mother went to work. Until in 1997 I got married with Drejc Awe have a farm for three women, grandmother, my mom Brigita and me. «

The main house has been monumentally protected since 1949. In the summer, they help themselves with students and volunteers. They have a lot of handmade work, but organic production. Of the indigenous breeds, cows, lake-Solčava sheep, Karst pigs and Kure Styria have cows. From vegetables, « we don’t have a little, we have a grain. We have a salad all year, in three greenhouses. Everything we need for our cooking is homemade. Meat, vegetables, potatoes, buy fruits, have our own apple juice, carrot juice, poem juice with apples, dairy products in the village. « 

Names have houses, as well as rooms, in activities and meaning. In the prehitect, rooms have porridge, Špajza, Gank and Kamra.
