The choice of marketplace in favor of renting a warehouse facility is due to the desire of the company to quickly accommodate in a finished space, says Dmitry Gerastovsky.

In addition, the company’s profile does not imply the purchase of real estate: the investment in the main business will bring Yandex more income, adds Alexander Fedorov, director of the warehouse and industrial real estate department of the Consulting Company.

Earlier, representatives from the E-Commerce segment have been the main consumers of the warehouse infrastructure, but since the beginning of 2025 the situation has changed. The proportion of companies from the sphere of e -commerce in the total demand for warehouse real estate in January -March of 2025 fell by 36 percentage points a year by the year, up to 11%, calculated in NF Group.
