XOM responds to high electricity bills
From the Confederation of Trade Union Organizations of Macedonia (KSOM) today at a press conference appealed to the Government and the Ministry of Energy to take measures for the high accounts that EVN's citizens receive for electricity.
KSOM President Marjan Risteski said complaints from citizens who complain of high accounts and untimely reading by EVN officials.
– EVN's robbery should stop. We are thinking about what to do – whether we will organize protests, whether we start collecting signatures to revoke a license, we will see. Account printed on one date, and the user receives at the end of the month and must pay interest. EVN's answer is that the blame is in the postman, not them – said Risteski.
Regarding the unions' demand to increase the minimum wage to be harmonized in March, Risteski said that wages must be increased because other quality workers will escape the state.
– The fact is that we are left to talk to employers about an increase in the minimalist. Employers do not intend to crack. They have money and do not want to give. They must give them because quality workers will leave the state. The government may be forced to increase the minimum wage if we do not agree with employers. There is no session of the socio-economic council so far-said Risteski.
