Xavier Bettel and the hereditary grand duke visiting Cambodia
Hereditary duke Prince Guillaume and Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel (DP) have been a job visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia from Saturday to Wednesday to strengthen bilateral relationships between the Grand Duchy and the Southeast Asian state.

During the visit, the hereditary duke and the Foreign Minister met, among other things, with the Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn and Vice Prime Minister Sun Chanthol.
On this occasion, Bettel signed a cooperation agreement between Luxembourg and Cambodia. This should serve as the basis for future cooperation.
In addition, the Foreign Minister has formalized an amount of two million euros for a project for mining clearance in partnership with the development program of the United Nations. « In the medium and long term, the mining clearance also contributes to the socio-economic development of the affected countries, » the Foreign Minister commented on the project through a press release.
