Women Narva gathered for open training in hockey in honor of March 8: sports, health and support from AHF and Linda Kliinik
Last Sunday, March 2, a unique event dedicated to International Women's Day was held in the Ice Hall of Narva. All the women of the cities who want to try themselves in hockey took part in an open training, supported by the Linda clinic and the Aids Healthcare Foundation (AHF). This event was not just a sporting event, but a real symbol of solidarity, equality and female power.
Sport as a tool for expanding the rights and capabilities of women
Female hockey in Narva is a new and bold phenomenon. And only a month ago, for the first time in the city, the formation of a female hockey team was given. Contrary to stereotypes that this sport is Nezhensky, a team initiated by an Narvityka Oksana and her daughter Yana, actively gaining the participants and proves: the ice is conquered by everyone who is ready to try.
“We just decided to go out onto the ice, stand on skates, start training and realized how much it is capturing. It was important for us not only to master the technique of the game, but also to show that sport has no gender boundaries. And any support in this sense is very valuable for us, since at the moment everything is holding on our personal initiative and enthusiasm, ”says Oksana, the initiator of the creation of the team.
The event organized by AHF and Linda Kliinik was the next step in the development of the future women's hockey team of the city of Narva, where each participant was able to feel the atmosphere of support and involvement.
AHF and Linda Kliinik: women's health as a priority
AHF (Aids Healthcare Foundation) is the world's largest non -profit organization that is engaged in prevention, testing and treatment of HIV/AIDS.
Linda Kliinik, in turn, works in Narva, offering testing services, treatment of HIV and other SDPPs.
“We support women not only in matters of reproductive health, but are always ready to support the initiatives that are aimed at recovering society as a whole. This is what I wanted to do as part of the celebration of March 8. Women's hockey in Narva is a great example of how sports and public initiative can change perception and break barriers, ”says Olesya Remizova, marketing coordinator Linda Kliinik and AHF.
Why is March 8 an important date?
International Women's Day is dedicated to protecting the rights of women and their exclusive role in society. But despite significant progress, millions of women and girls around the world are still faced with problems with access to medical care, gender violence, unequal wages and insufficient opportunities for education.
In addition, many women are short of menstrual hygiene and high -quality sexual education, which directly affects their standard of living and future.
About 44% of all new cases of HIV infection in the world fall on women and girls. Limited access to prevention, testing and treatment in some countries of the world exacerbates inequality and jeopardizes the health of millions. That is why the AHF and the Linda clinic advocate the support of women, helping them get knowledge, providing resources and medical care so that everyone can take care of their health and have a happy future.
