If your cat accidentally consumes something toxic, do not panic. According to the British Animal Welfare Organization RSPCA, you should remove the source of the poison and contact your veterinarian immediately who will be able to help you with the next step.
RSPCA also emphasizes that you must not try to medicate the cat itself or provoke vomiting and that you should keep it away from other pets to avoid cross -contamination.
