After a series of performances in the region, on Friday and Saturday the famous Macedonian guitarist, composer, singer and songwriter Vlatko Stefanovski held two outstanding concerts in the big hall of the Macedonian Philharmonic. The occasion for this event, colored with a lot of emotions, which will be talked about for a long time, is the legendary musician’s fertile music career.

Of course Vlatko has not walked all his opus, from the beginnings with « Bread and Salt » to the most famous hits of his solo career and of course some songs he wrote for film, television and theater.

The concert was organized by « Music Time » and manager Tomislav Kashljevic from Zagreb, who, a month ago with Croatia Records music editor, Claudia Jular, announced these two music events at a press conference in Skopje, which we can say freely. His triple vinyl edition « London Sessions » was then unveiled, filmed at the famous Abbey Road music studio in London, which Stefanovski said it was the realization of his old dream.

The music trip began with the sounds of the song « Aber came Donke », instrumental that « Bread and Salt » in 1978 in Opatija, stirred the musical public in the former « Yugoslavia » and began their rich music career. And it is precisely that blend of rock, ethno-jazz, blues and Macedonian traditional music, became their trademark, but also a trail that drove Stefanovski’s creative path.

Almost three hours Vlatko, along with son Jan Stefanovski on drums and Ivan Kukic on bass, who are members of the trio, and over time grew up in top musicians, the extraordinary Damir Imeri behind the keyboards, who regularly accompanies Refanovski, and Str. Dance on stage, which was shut down by the audience. The concert was also attended by Vlatko’s daughter -in -law, Patricia Stefanovska and his brother Goran’s son, Igor Stefanovski who arrived from England.

In fact, everyone present with their energy contributed a lot to the success of the concert, which is certainly deserving of the guests: Momcilo Bajagic-Bayaga, with whom Vlatko has performed three songs (« 442 to Beodens », « Silence » and « You Love … »

Bayaga said he bought his first guitar at the age of 15, when he first heard « Bread and Salt » at a concert in Belgrade and was thrilled by Vlatko Stefanovski’s virtuosity.

And the songs that marked the career of the legendary musician: « Kandilce », « Bistra Voda », « Kumova straw », « Bistra Voda », « Vlatkovo Oro », « Belief, Hope, Love », « Jypse Song », « Keeping », « Keep », « Keep », The Beatles « While My Guitar Gently Weeps ».

And all the songs dominated the only sound of Vlatko Stefanovski’s guitar, Cullen and half a century. After three Bassa ended this night to remember, which touched everyone with his emotions. The night when we know which way we were convinced why Vlatko is the ambassador of Macedonian culture in the world for 50 years. MT
