Day 1: After your arrival in Athens, your journey begins with an exciting city tour, in which antique monuments meet modern life. They pass the Panathinaiko Stadium, the Syntagma Square with Parliament and Evzone Guard as well as architectural highlights such as the National Library and the President Palace. The evening is free – perfect for a stroll through the old town or a dinner in a tavern.
Day 2: Today they discover Athens on foot. A tour on the acropolis takes you to the propyleans, the Nike Temple, the Parthenon and the Erechtheion with its famous Karyatids. Day 3: Before you break up to the port of Piraeus, there is time for a last stroll through Athens. On board the Explora I, your time -out begins at sea – very relaxed and at your own pace. Day 4: Monemvasia seems like a fallen – high above the sea the fortress city, nestled in the rock of the Peloponnes. Day 7: Volos combines architectural elegance with Mediterranean nature – surrounded by mythical history. Explore the home of Jason and the Argonauts before going into the green pelion. On old donkey paths you hike through fragrant forests and traditional villages – a walk through an antique fairy tale.
Day 8: Thessaloniki inspires with a unique mix of history and present. Between Byzantine churches, ancient ruins and 15 UNESCO sites, they discover magnificent buildings such as the Galerius Palace and the rotunda. In Ladadika you can expect tight streets with Paris flair, lively markets and contemporary art along the waterfront – a city full of contrasts and character.
