Wiltz municipality files criminal complaint for anti-Islam stickers

« They enter a zone that is forbidden for Muslims » – the inscription of a sticker who stuck to a light mast in Wiltz excited the minds in the north. Photos of the yellow sticker appeared on Facebook.

There are several prohibition signs for Muslim traditions, for example that street prayers or wearing veils are prohibited. Among them: A sentence that calls open to exclusion-« a better society without Muslims »-and a link to an online shop that sells right-wing extremists. The shop name « Black Sun and Co » is an allusion to the « Black Sun » symbol spreading into neo-Nazi circles, which serves as a replacement for the forbidden swastika.

When the « Luxembourg word » contacted the community on Monday, those responsible did not know anything about the sticker yet. In the meantime, however, it has been found: on a mast in the Grand Rue near the pharmacy. It was a single sticker. The municipality had it removed and announced that the police file a criminal complaint. « People from over 90 nationalities with a wide variety of religions live peacefully in the municipality of Wiltz. Accordingly, such statements as on the sticker are not tolerated, » explains the community on Facebook.
