Will the World Cup of 2030 64 national teams?
As it is known in 2026 football at the level of national teams will pass on the occasion of the competition organized by the US, Canada and Mexico, to a number of 48 representatives present. But this may not be the maximum participants in a final turn of CM.
In 2030 Portugal, Spain and Morocco will be the hosts of the final tournament. And because this edition will mark the fulfillment of a centenary from the first final tournament (Uruguay 1930) FIFA decided that a match will take place in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay.
But the South Americans are not satisfied with organizing a single match by the three countries. The president of the South American forum Conmebol, Alejandro Dominguez, sent an official proposal to FIFA, by which the importance of the event exceptionally requests the number of participants to no less than 64.
Thus, the three South American countries could also oregulate several matches, respecting the fact that the first final tournament took place on Uruguayan Earth. Only it would be a big problem with the duration of the competition, which would thus extend over a much longer period, exceeding light and a half and there would be no place for rest and vacation for players, forced to return immediately to their club teams.
