The Latvian final out of more than 1,700 companies has been nominated for the top 20 pupils’ training companies (SMU) in high school groups and the top 10 in the elementary school group. High School Group’s best SMU will be entitled to represent Latvia in the finals of European pupils’ training companies in Athens, Greece.

During the New Entrepreneurs’ Days, the most outstanding entrepreneurial educators will also be honored – student training consultants. In addition, one graduate of the SMU program, who successfully continues its way to business after graduating from school, will receive the new entrepreneur of the Year.

Visitors to the event on April 28 from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Liepaja Latvian Society House are invited to watch the presentations of pupils training companies, but on April 29 from 10am to 12:30 pm in the Great Amber Concert Hall – to visit the SMU stand exhibition, get to know the ideas of the students and buy the products they create.

This year the final of the Latvian SMU program will take place for the first time in Liepaja. On the closing day of the event, young entrepreneurs and SMU consultants will go to the Liepaja business environment, visiting both manufacturing companies and port areas.
