The roundabout will appear at the intersection of the Communos and Malūnas Ponds streets in Paris.

Part of the work has already been completed, but works are still underway on the section of the Communos Street from Šilutė high to Kelmentoji Street.

It will take about two months to repair the stretch from Šilutė highway.

The works are carried out by Plungės Laguna.

Žydrūnas Vilnius, a spokesman for this company, said it would be difficult for workers to set up a roundabout at the intersection with Malūnas Pond Street as it would be small.

« Only five meters in diameter. Due to the safety and speed of the people themselves, we cannot leave two sides there. It is necessary to close the traffic, » said Ž. Vilnius.

The contractors promise not only to install a circular junction within two months, but also to pave the Paris Communos Street from the Liaduns to Šilutė highway.

The contractors claimed that if the weather would allow, they would do the work faster.

Dicks and Taikos Avenue

The project provides that not only the driveway will be renovated, but also new sidewalks on both sides of the street will be renovated.

There will be a bicycle path next to it. The rainwater system will also be renewed and new lighting will be installed.

In a later stage, contractors will request only one -sided traffic on Paris Communos Street to Taikos Avenue, when the street from Šilutė highway will be paved.

The driveway will be formed at the expense of the sidewalk, as underground excavation will take place at that time.

There will also be special work at the intersection of Taikos Avenue, as the intersection center will have to dig the soil and connect the stormwater networks.

« There are infinitely a lot of engineering networks here. We will not be able to work underground because there is a threat to stop other networks. It will take a week, » said Ž. Vilnius.

The first changes in traffic will be after Easter.
