Why let 10% of the public administration be expelled and not 20%, for example?

PSD interim president, Sorin Grindeanuhe said on Saturday that in the discussions with the other political parties for the formation of the future social-democrats will not negotiate the decrease of low and medium income or pensions.

« We have said so far things that, from our point of view, cannot be negotiated. We cannot, in any case, speak of the decrease of the income, whether we are talking about pensions or salaries, the decrease of the low and medium income in Romania. Not 20%, for example? A more supple administration is needed, whether we speak at the level of local or central administration, but all these things must be done on very well-developed criteria and not from the office.

The interim leader of the PSD said that for the time being, there has been no ministry to belong to one party or another, nor about the special services, because, as President Nicușor Dan said, there must be an agreement on these measures to be taken, on a possible governance program.

« If we go beyond this point, yes, we enter a political negotiation area. Why enter a political negotiation area if we do not reach a common denominator and a common vision of any parties that would be this future coalition? We are in the situation where, probably at the beginning of next week, it is trying to reach this program, »

Grindeanu reiterated that he did not discuss the name of the future prime minister, as it all depends on the result of the negotiations of the governance program, and the decisions regarding the social-democratic approach will be taken exclusively in the PSD.

« Personally, I wish for the Social Democratic Party to get the maximum of these negotiations and when we reach that point, if we arrive, if we have this common government program, we will see which area we enter. (…) No one will make us orders inside the PSD. Chair or Senate presidents, ”said Sorin Grindeanu.

He mentioned that the final decision regarding the entry of the PSD to the government will be taken only after consulting all the local party structures, of the nearly 1,700 PSD mayors in Romania and all the county councilors, all the presidents of local organizations, all the county political councils.

« If I would say now that I go to any political discussions and I never give up one, two, three ministries-you realize that there is still negotiation-, I would go from the beginning to a lower position, if from the beginning the people I negotiate I know what are the points we do not give up. which we take into account if we reach that point where we will enter the area of ​​political negotiations.

The leader of the social-democrats said that there is no risk of blocking investments in the road and rail infrastructure due to lack of funding from European funds.

In other news, he appreciated that, so far, the relationship with President Nicușor Dan was constructive.

« It was constructive. I felt, in the two meetings with his reign, that he wants, and he said, to have a wide coalition in support of the government, not to have a minority government, » said Sorin Grindeanu.
