Why I oppose the warfare in Gaza
As a dedicated world citizen and humanist, I feel it is important to express my opposition to both Israel and Hamas’ warfare in Gaza. This conflict has been going on for decades, and the humanitarian consequences are enormous. Here are some of the main reasons for my resistance:
1. Humanitarian disorders: Warfare leads to enormous disorders for the civilian population. Many innocent people, including women and children, lose their lives or are seriously injured. Those who survive must often live under terrible conditions, with lack of food, water and medical help. Bombardement and blockades have led to the destruction of homes, schools and hospitals, making everyday life extremely difficult for those living in Gaza. According to reports, over 22,000 civilians have lost their lives in the ongoing conflict.
2. Human rights violations: Both parties have been criticized for violating international human rights. Israel’s military operations in Gaza and Hamas’ attacks on Israel have led to major civilian losses and disorders, which is in violation of the Geneva Conventions. Israel’s use of heavy military equipment and attacks in densely populated areas has been especially criticized for being disproportionate and extreme. The brutal treatment of civilians, including arbitrary arrests, torture and destruction of property, is unacceptable and must be strongly condemned.
4. Personal stories: Behind the statistics there are heartbreaking personal stories. For example, a four -year -old girl became orphaned after her parents were killed in an Israeli air strike. She survived, but now has to grow up without her loved ones. Another story is about a seven -year -old boy who dreamed of becoming a doctor. He was killed in an attack, and his father describes the loss of the son as the biggest loss in his life. These stories illustrate the deep human costs of the conflict.
6. International condemnation: Many countries and international organizations have condemned both Israel and Hamas’ actions. This weakens both parties’ position on the global stage and creates further tension in the region.
8. The role of youth in peace work: The youth has a unique and important role in peace work. They represent the future and often have a more open and inclusive attitude. Through education, activism and dialogue, young people can help build bridges between society and cultures. Youth organizations and initiatives that promote peace and understanding can be powerful tools to create lasting changes. It is important to support and encourage young people to engage in the peace process, as their energy and creativity can be crucial to achieving lasting peace.
9. Two-state solution: A Tostat’s solution, where both Israel and Palestine exist as independent states, is a possible way to lasting peace. This will require compromise and cooperation from both parties, as well as support from the international community. A two-state solution means that Israel and Palestine are established as two separate states on the territory of the former Mandat Palestine. This includes recognition of East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestinian and West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Such a solution will help to secure the rights and safety of both Israelis and palers, and lay the foundation for a peaceful coexistence. No people stand over another human being; We all have to work together for a just world where everyone can live safely.
I hope that more people will engage and express their opposition to this unfair warfare. It is time for us to work together for a peaceful and fair solution for everyone involved.
