On Thursday, June 12, in Kiev happened Award ceremony of winners of the 22nd International Documentary Film Festival on Human Rights Docudays UA. On the last day of the festival, June 13, all the winning ribbons can be viewed in the metropolitan cinema « October ».
The main prize of the competition Docu/world got a movie « 2000 meters to Andreevka » Mstislav Chernov. This is the second -length film Chernov about a full -scale invasion.
”The winner was an extremely strong film – an exceptional tribute to the human spirit. It looks at Ukrainian soldiers who are ready to sacrifice life for their country, next to the director and the operator. The film conveys a rough, almost physical experience that shows heroism without any romanticization, exposing the cruel reality of the war.
There was no doubt in the jury: the main award should receive « 2000 meters in Andriyivka » Mstislav Chernov« , – the jury said.
Also this movie has received Rights Now’s main award! and Audience prize.
Special DOCU/World Contest got the tape « About holy and sinner ” Lithuanian director Gydezre Baynoruta: “It is a simple but multilayered movie, told in the language of strong visual images. With attention and delicacy, he explores the ancient ritual, revealing the essence of a small village and its inhabitants. The tape shows how children, young people and the elderly gather together to prepare for this important event« .
A prize from the jury of the Film Critics Union of Ukraine got a movie « Militanthropos” Elizabeth Smith, Alina Gorlova and Semyon Mozgovy.
The main award in competition DCU/Ukraine got a movie « The songs of the earth that slowly burning « Olga Zhurba is « for the accurate and deep fixation on the screen of collective experience, war and multilayered injury. »
Special DOCU/Ukraine Contest Got a ribbon “With love from the front” Alice Kovalenko.
The main prize of the competition Docu/briefly I got the tape « Dust is a whale, it is the sunlight of » Belgigian director Maria Casas Castillo.

22-y International Documentary Festival on Human Human Rights Docudays UA It takes place from June 6 to June 13 in Kiev.
The main topic of Docudays UA 2025 is « Rare resource ». And the main focus in the program was on the need to develop and maintain public activity, to reform social institutions and public policies.
