Her author, Nik Ut, became the first and only photographer born in Vietnam, who received the Pulicer’s award.

However, the news agency admitted that some « big questions » remain unanswered.

Both the documentary and AP have tried to reconstruct the time of events based on existing video materials, photos and satellite shots.

Video materials recorded shortly after the « napalm girl » was caused by a blurred figure, which is believed to be UT, as it is quite far from children.

The documentary claims that UT was 60 meters away from the video camera, which means he had to run as soon as he made a photo.

The AP refuted that figure, assessing the distance at 28.8 to 48 meters, with 20 percent of the possibility of error.

He argued that the distance variables could influence various variables and that the documentary also ignored some other recordings and did not have an insight into two sets of images that used this one in his own investigation.

Where are we now?

And AP and VPP claim that they cannot determine the identity of the photographer – VPP even suggested that the photo could have made a third photographer.

And yet a few questions about the documentary version of the documentary remains open: several journalists from the place of the place rejected the event version presented in the film as unfounded and refused to participate in recording.
