Who is Matej Grah, the new Secretary General of the Freedom Movement

Matej Grah, a 31-year-old politician from Pomurje, took over the management of the organizational apparatus of the largest parliamentary party Movement Movement, who became known to the general public as the president of the youth organization Freedom Youth and the youngest candidate of that party in the recent elections to the European Parliament.

Peas come from Prekmurje and has been actively involved in youth organizations and political debates for many years. He is a graduate of European studies by education. It advocates the involvement of young people in democratic processes and Europe based on knowledge, solidarity and social justice.

“I take responsibility at a time when young people are no longer just observing – we want to co -create. As the current president of freedom, the young and now as Secretary General of Movement I will act as a voice of a generation that requires justice, progress and boldness, « he said today.

In the campaign before the European elections, he emphasized the importance of the active role of the European Union in maintaining peace and protecting human rights. He advocated a ceasefire in Gaza and Ukraine and for the recognition of Palestine. According to him, good things happen when good people decide not to be quiet – which was also one of the reasons why he decided on a political path.

On young people, the world stands – but only if we give them a space, a peas that has been profiled in recent months as one of the more prominent voices of the young generation within the party.
