Who became the new rector of Frank University of Lviv: election results

Roman Gladyshevsky was elected a new rector of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. He will replace Vladimir Melnik, who has headed the university since 2014.
Gladyshevsky won by receiving almost 59% of the vote, reported in trade union organization Students and establishment education.
By results The first round of elections, Roman Gladyshevsky had an advantage over competitors, receiving 26.8% of the vote, which was 14.3% more than the candidate who took second place.
Roman Gladyshevsky I got Higher education at the French Faculty of Chemistry named after Frank, worked as an engineer of the Research Institute of Materials. He later worked at the Lviv Polytechnic Institute, the University of Geneva and Savua University in France.
In 2001 he gained a doctorate at Franko University of Lviv, where he continued to work. Roman Gladyshevsky since 2021 is member National Academy of Sciences of the Department of Chemistry.
His scientific achievement in co-authorship is 23 volumes of monographs, 414 scientific articles and 31 educational and methodological work. Roman Gladyshevsky is the owner of 19 patents.
The newly elected rector in 2008 received the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology, and in 2024 – the Leo Pisarzhevsky Prize.
