Which state officials do most overtime?
How many employees count the various ministries and their administrations and how many hours did you book on your working time accounts? LSAP MP Ben Polidori wanted to know this from the individual ministers.
The data was centralized at Serge Wilmes, CSV Minister for the Public Service. From his answer it is clear that the various ministries in 2024 counted a total of 36,102 agents – an increase of 42.2 percent compared to 2021 (25,381 employees).
Menje employs more than 18,000 agents
More than half of the agents (50.3 percent) can be assigned to the Ministry of Education. This corresponds to 18,161 employees, in the majority teachers. They have entered around 2.26 million hours on the time parallel. On average, this makes almost 124 hours per person.
The ministry with the second highest number of employees is the intérieur. 3,728 agents work here, including 3,226 police officers. Your time savings accounts have a total of around 1.46 million hours for 2024. That is an average of 393 hours per person. Most CET hours wrote down the 51 agents of the Police Inspection, and an average of 449 hours per person.
In third place is the Ministry of Finance with 2,528 employees and around one million overtime. That makes an average of 396 hours per person.

The Ministry of Equality and Diversity has very few employees. 20 agents work here with a total of 7,848 overtime.
As of December 31, 2024, the 36,102 agents worked together 8.379 million overtime. This does an average of 232 overtime per person.
