According to preliminary estimates, more than 55 thousand hectares of crops were destroyed, which is almost UAH 1 billion in direct losses for local farmers.

According to Yosypenko, It is not just a drought as a natural phenomenon – it is a complex agro -ecological disaster that resulted from a radical change in the hydrothermal regime of the region.
”In the autumn and winter, the precipitation was critically scanty, and spring vegetation was accompanied by abnormally high temperatures in March and late April frosts. In combination with the lack of irrigation, this has led to a complete loss of crop in many farms, « he stressed.
The farmer stressed that without targeted compensation for losses from the state, Preferential lending, sowing renewal programs can be lost.
