Which companies have paid $ 2800 in recourse?
Annual leave recourse It is one of the key rights of employees and must be paid by employers by 1 July. By law, it must be paid at least in the amount of the minimum wage, which is EUR 1277.72 gross this year. This year we also record less violations than in previous years, but these are still more common in the field of employment. While employees of the banking and energy sectors have received high recourse, they are public servants Again among the least awarded.
Legal rules and exceptions
The employer must pay the employee who has been employed throughout the year by at least in the amount of the minimum wage. Recourse may be higher if this is stipulated by a collective agreement or an employment contract. Since 2019, recourse up to the amount of the average gross salary has been acquitted of contributions and taxes, so more employers have taken this opportunity.
If the worker is not employed throughout the year, he belongs to the proportionate part of the recourse. The same applies to part -time employees. Payment after 1. July is only exceptionally – with the illiquidity of the company and if this is determined by the collective agreement. The non -payment of recourse means a violation for which the law sets out monetary fines. The amounts of the penalty ranges from EUR 450 to € 20,000, depending on the size of the employer and the responsibility.
Fewer non -payment but violations still frequent
According to the Financial Administration of the Republic of Slovenia (FURS), the number of employers who do not pay off for recourse has declined sharply in recent years. In 2023 there were 8807, while in 2018 there were 26,803. Nevertheless, recourse -related violations are still among the most common in control of employment relationships.
Last year, the Labor Inspectorate recorded 1628 recourse violations, which represents a significant proportion of all the irregularities found. Normal violations include delays in payments, partial payments or employers’ requirements for employees to return recourse in cash. There are also unequal payments within the same company.
Workers can report violations to the inspectorate, but the latter cannot force the employer to pay off – for this, the employee must file a lawsuit with the labor court.
Recourse as a competitive advantage
At a time when employers compete for staff, many recourse is also becoming a means of rewarding and attracting employees. This year, several companies have paid employees a recourse of average gross salary, which means the maximum non -taxable amount.
The highest recourse was paid in March at NLB, OTP banks and at the Sava Re Reinsurance Company – $ 2803.97. They were also generous in energy: in Gen Energy $ 2749.12, in Eles $ 2696. Telekom Slovenije was made in February, in the amount of EUR 2518.74.

With more employees and higher recourse amounts, the total cost of this payment is increasing rapidly. According to Furs, EUR 1.38 billion was paid to employees last year, which is two percent more than a year earlier. In 2021, that number amounted to € 1.05 billion.
