Where it was particularly hot on Friday

A sweaty Friday, the 13th: in the southwest of Germany it was particularly hot in the past hours. According to preliminary measurements, nationwide leaders are the city of Wolfach in the Black Forest with 34.7 degrees – closely followed by Rheinstetten in northwestern Baden -Württemberg with 34.6 degrees. The German Weather Service announced on the evening of the German Press Agency.

Not only did the thermometer climb particularly high in the southwest, according to the meteorologists there was also a high humidity. For the night of Saturday, the weather service expected a tropical night, especially in the west – that is: the temperature does not drop below 20 degrees. This could be the case, especially in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Aachen and Freiburg.

According to the prediction, Saturday should also get hot. Especially in the west and southwest of Germany there will be a strong heat load. From the afternoon, according to the weather service in the west, northwest and above the mountains in southern Germany, individual, sometimes strong thunderstorms are expected – there is a risk of severe weather, especially by heavy rain.
