When you climb, do not forget who reached out-the angle-you see the world as it is!

It is an extraordinary feeling to see people stretching their wings and flying. See them how they grow up, how they overcome their fears, how they fight for their dreams and how, step by step, they build their own way. Nothing compares to the moment they succeed. When they reach their goals and, for the first time, I feel that their work has been worth it. It is nice to witness such transformations.

But beyond the beauty of these stories, there is a less bright part: forgetfulness. It is sad to see how, once they arrived where they wanted, some forget who helped it at the beginning. Forget the hands that supported them, the voices that encouraged them, the people who believed in them even when they seemed lost. Forget the promises made, forget how hard it was when they had nothing, forget the times when someone said to them « don’t give up! You will succeed! ».
Why is this happening? Maybe because, when you get up, the view is different. When you see your dream fulfilled, you begin to believe that you just got there through your own forces. Perhaps success changes perspective. Maybe the temptation to break away from the past is too big. But how much is a success if, to touch it, did you leave behind the people who were close to you? How much victory is worth if, once you get there, you don’t have to thank them? No one succeeds alone. No one makes their way without support, whether it is a good word, a shoulder to cry, an open door at the right time or someone who has spread a hand without asking for anything in return. Opportunities do not appear from nothing.
They are offered, they are built by those who have trusted you, by those who offered you the first job, the first project, the first chance.
And it is painful to see how some people, once they arrive where they wanted, choose to behave as if they have succeeded. As if no one raised it, as if their success was just the result of their own ambition.

But real success is not only measured in money, positions or applause. It is measured in gratitude. It is measured in the ability to look back and say « Thank you! » to those who were there when you had nothing. It is measured in loyalty, in small gestures that show that you have not forgotten who helped you to get up.
It is easy to believe that, once you get up, you need no one. But life has a strange way to balance things. Today you are on the peaks, tomorrow you could be on the ground again. And then, will you find the same outstretched hands? Will you hear the same voices to encourage you?
True success is not only about where you got, but also about how you got there. About how much man you stayed. About how much you remember those who were supported when you were just a dreamer who was just beginning to climb. For, no matter how far you fly, never forget those who have taught you to stretch your wings.
