When the end becomes the beginning: Young designer exhibition
« Each end marks a new beginning. The day when the door of the Vilnius Academy of Arts closes, the other – the spaces of prestigious galleries, the museums, the major architecture or design studies, the restoration workshops, the art and research institutes. Ieva Skaurone.
The exhibition of the Port City Faculty is symbolically concentrating about three this year: in the three spaces of the KKKC Exhibition Hall, graduates of three study programs – graphic, interior and visual design – present their creative projects. Their final works reflect current topics of the present, from artificial intelligence and local identity to board game design or spatial installations.
Bachelor’s works are visually expressive, created over an intense four -month period, combining theoretical study and creative practice. Some of them are real projects that have already been planned. Master’s work is more conceptual, based on two years of study experience, more detailed research and deeper theoretical reflection.
The exhibition is part of the National VDA the final exhibition of thesis, which takes place in all cities with VDA faculties – in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Telšiai, and included in the design of the Design Week 2025.
