What showed the first research on the impact of radiation of electric cars on human health? – Climate change

The German Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BFS) and the Federal Ministry of Environment (BMUV) conducted a survey on the impact of radiation of electrical and chival cars for human health.
For the purposes of research, estimated magnetic fields at 11 cars are measured with electric drive, two hybrid vehicles and one with an internal combustion engine, produced between 2019 and 2021. years. In addition, electric double-wheelers are also included in the research, and these are e-scooter, two light motorcycles and one electric motorcycle, writes Energy portal.
Study It has shown that magnetic fields in electric vehicles are not stronger than those in classic or hybrid cars. Although in some cases, local stronger fields have been recorded, no boundaries were exceeded that could negatively affect health. The highest individual value of the Magetic field was recorded when the hybrid vehicle is turned on.
« In some cases, a relatively strong magnetic field was recorded in the intermediate scenarios, so that, according to current scientific knowledge, they do not expect health significant consequences, » said Inga Paulini, President of the BFS.
The analysis of measurement and simulation showed that the recommended limit values for fields caused in the body were complied with in all examined scenarios.
However, the detailed analysis revealed differences: measured values of magnetic fields varied between different vehicles, within the vehicle themselves (depending on the location), as depending on the regime.
The strongest magnetic fields most often appeared in the foot area outside the seat, while the magnetic fields in the head and troop area were generally low.
No clear link between engine and magnetic fields in the interior of electric vehicles has not been determined. The more influence from the engine power alone had driving style. In sports driving with strong acceleration and brakes, short-term stronger magnetic fields were recorded than in moderate driving.
According to the BFS, the study is the largest and most detailed research on the appearance of magnetic fields in electric vehicles.
The collected data is based on systematic measurements of the field strength in current vehicles approved for traffic in Germany, on the test rollers, closed test path and real traffic.
