The State Service for Ethno -Policy and Freedom of Conscience has approved a list of religious organizations whose clergy can be reserved from mobilization.

Total in the list – 7 726 such associations, It is said On the website of the department.

They were selected from among more than 30,000 organizations registered in Ukraine.

Selection was performed by seven criteria, approved in February this year.

In particular, the organization should be registered under the current legislation, submit reports on the use of income, and not have links with foreign religious organizations whose activities in Ukraine prohibited (This is first and foremost about the Russian Orthodox Church).

In order to arrange a reservation through « action », it is necessary:

• confirm the employment of the clergyman;

• confirm the status of a clergyman in accordance with the internal guidelines of a religious organization;

• Provide a staffing list of a religious organization (the marginal number of clergymen).

official employment of the priest;

”The Armed Forces respects the right of religious organizations to a deferral for their clergy, but emphasize that mobilization needs remain priority to ensure the country’s defense capability. The reservation procedure should not interfere with the staff of military formations« , – added in the Land Forces.
