Holiday season always means full trains. The good news of Deutsche Bahn for all travelers during the Pentecost holidays: At least in long -distance transport in Bavaria, no construction sites with larger effects are planned over Pentecost, a spokeswoman for Deutsche Bahn said.

It will be particularly full on the trains of the Deutsche Bahn at the beginning of the Pentecost weekend and at the end of the holidays. For long -distance transport, the spokeswoman therefore recommends that you either drive very late or very early to get cheaper tickets and a seat on the trains.

Restrictions in local transport in the northeast of Bavaria

The railway spokeswoman also expects many travelers during the holiday. The routes in the Werdenfelser Land and the Allgäu are particularly popular with excursions.

There are restrictions in regional traffic on the railway line between Regensburg and Hof: Construction work is expected to take place from June 15th to August 22nd. A bus connection is offered as a replacement, the state railway said. The route between Regensburg and Schwandorf is completely closed. Between Weiden and Hof, the route from mid -June to mid -July can only be accessed in a track.

The S-Bahn in Munich at the Ostbahnhof and on the main route is massively impaired during the Pentecost holidays. A new electronic signal box goes into operation there. The routes around the Ostbahnhof are not navigable on a daily basis.
