What Machala touches, drowns in the scandal
Dear readers, dear readers,
Many works of art, even the most precious, sometimes move from one gallery to another. There are rules and experts who provide such transport. Let’s say that the very move of the bust from Donatella from Levoča to another gallery may not necessarily be a scandal. But the fact that Lukáš Machala was involved in the transfer of the bust and, as he did, immediately aroused suspicion.
Why? As a result of his position, Machala is only an ordinary clerk who should serve the cultural community. However, he behaves as if to rule over theaters, galleries and all representatives of culture. Communist official, comrade and censor in one. Even after he was accompanied by a bust of Donatella, he is already a collector and a restorer.
As the right clerk Robert Fico, he is tapping on his forehead when the media and the cultural community ask him why and where he took the bust. Nothing into it, she refers to it.
Even the cameraman of the local TV TV Levoča, who shot the whole act, forbade anything to publish. When a colleague from Corsair reported this report, I instinctively asked if it was a ministry paid television. Not. As the television explained to the daily Corsair, at that time they were accidentally near the museum, so they did what is the work of a journalist.
First of all, Machala has no power to forbid anything. So television can easily post its video, as the whole nation already knows about the transport. It is thanks to the presence of Machala.
Machala has been cultivating this censor instinct for a long time, and apparently not only has a cameraman from Levoča Television. This person is also a member of the STVR Council, who selected the Director General of the Public Service TV.
Just at a time when people like Machala have the opportunity to interfere with media legislation or communicate on behalf of power with journalists, publishers or media owners, it is extremely important that media management protects their journalists sufficiently. To be able to resist the free and independent media: whether the most primitive intervention of the type of Machal’s embargo, or a more creed but even more dangerous economic pressure that the government has already tried against Markiza.
Marquis is one of the most important bastions in the field of television broadcasters, he holds a similar role to the RTL club in Hungary. That is why the recent management legacy of your own journalists in the sense that if you do not like our content direction, seek application elsewhere, not only arrogant, but also reflects the misunderstanding of the role that the Markiza news is currently holding.
« Employees who do not agree with the content direction have the opportunity to look for application in the media that are in line with their beliefs. Alternatively, they can be realized in institutions where the expressing personal views of social events is compatible with their professional role and not contrary to the status of television. »
Journalists comment on social events. Yes, they also comment on the freedom of the media – it is even their social duty. Of course, television may want to focus on entertainment, it is an autonomous decision of every investor or management. However, if the price is weakening of the journalistic community, it is possible that a large part of the company will no longer want to watch any entertainment.
My colleagues Soňa Jánošová, Michal Dudoň and Lenka Haníková from Korzár wrote several texts for you about moving a rare bust.

Bribery in the central bank
Prime Minister, who attends a war criminal, the governor of the National Bank convicted of corruption, a disinformation channel minister, ministers of blackmailers who have been given positions not to fold the government – this is the face of Fico’s sovereign policy. And exactly this face is seen by European partners of Slovakia.
The condemnation of Petr Kažimír for bribery only complements the profile of this government and deepens the shame he enhances weekly abroad. And even if it is only the decision of the Court of First Instance.
Kažimír may have counted on being ranked among Fico’s « political prisoners », whose previous governmental power was supposed to close and destroy. The judge blew these hopes when he began to look at the case as bribery in connection with European money. Thanks to the European pressure of theft of European taxpayers, it cannot be as easily time -barred as our sovereign Slovak bribery.

What we learned about the state of the Republic and President
It is important that the President reminded Robert Fico that the West is not just one of the four cardinal points, but is the most important to us. We can also applaud him for statistics that passionate visitors to Moscow often forget: 89 percent of all investments come to Slovakia from the European Union and 78 percent of the whole Slovak export is directed to the Member States of the Union.
But Pellegrini wants to talk about the West so that only superficially remembers the war in Ukraine that it does not mention openly, which disrupts the confidence between the West and Slovakia. And that is really not possible. We cannot talk about our allies without nameing who every visit to Vladimir Putin puts a knife in their backs.

What do fake pensions look like?
The SME daily decided to visit some pensions that received subsidies through the disputed “pension call” of the Agricultural Paying Agency.
Colleagues Jakub Filo, Marek Moravčík and colleague Katarína Gécziová on the basis of the PPA register, data from the cadastre and satellite images analyzed all 109 assigned subsidies, in which PPA paid the applicants 60 million euros.
At least fifteen cases, the money did not go for the declared purpose at all. Several of them – in Komárno, in Častá or Starý Smokovec – visited reporters personally.
