What is the « kingdom of Germany », a conspiratorial and anti-Semitic network of 6,000 members? – release

It all started in 2012 when a former karate teacher proclaim himself king. The coronation ceremony could look like a parody. However, Peter Fitzek has no smiles. Hermine coat on the shoulders, standing on a scene lit by candlesticks, the man at the age of 47 gives birth to the « kingdom of Germany ».

The sovereign has clear principles for his « Contre-etat ». His kingdom does not recognize the authority or the legitimacy of the German government. A single diet finds thanks to his eyes: the Ier Reich monarchy, in 1871. To justify his anti -plain positions, he draws from conspiracy and anti -Semitic theories.

Peter Fitzek could have been an isolated howrt. But in thirteen years, his « kingdom of Germany » convinced nearly 6,000 sympathizers. The organization, finally prohibited by the German Interior Ministry Tuesday, May 13, 2025, had become an influential movement. Rainer Wendt, head of the country’s main police union, said its members « Are not harmless (people), but dangerous individuals. »

For more than a decade, the pseudo-soverenger creates a whole system: a flag, laws, currency, identity cards. In the eyes of the German Interior Minister, Alexander Dobrindt, which makes the specificity of this movement, is « Its orientation resolutely focused on profit ». To become a subject of King Peter Fitzek, you have to pay 374 euros. He attests that by becoming a resident of the « Kingdom of Germany », his supporters will escape federal laws, and in particular taxes.

To seduce a new audience, Peter Fitzek regularly organizes open days and seminars that cost several hundred euros. He made in particular conspiracy and anti -Semitic remarks, claiming for example that a Jewish organization would be responsible for the war in Ukraine. The Karate teacher also recruits thanks to social networks, like Telegram, where he promotes his organization.

The accumulated funds allow the far -right group to acquire properties. In February 2022, Peter Fitzek bought land of more than 50,000 square meters, worth 2.3 million euros in the Eibestock-Wolfsgrün region (Saxony). « Kingdom of Germany » sets up a center of seminars, a hotel, agricultural, forestry and aquatic areas. A few weeks later, the organization obtained a castle in the Saxony. The far -right association ensures that these goods are the « National territory » of sound « State ». The kingdom is largely based on the exploitation of sympathizers, who work free of charge in the renovation of properties.

« Kingdom of Germany » is only a link within a more important far right network: THE « Reichsbürger »,, « Reich citizens ». Nearly 40 organizations, sharing conspiratorial and anti -Semitic ideologies, claim this broader movement. In total, nearly 23,000 individuals would be sympathizers of « Citizens of the Reich ». THE « Reichsbürger » has hit the headlines on numerous occasions. In 2022, the German police forces thwarted a coup d’etat that this group planned to lead.
