Kaunas District Municipality in Raudondvaris built the stadium that meets international requirements last year and will invest in the modernization of the gymnasium building, so not only the work project, but also a symbolically buried time capsule for future generations was presented during the prime minister’s visit.

May 23 this year Kaunas District Municipality signed 9 million. a contract for the implementation of the first two rounds. After the reconstruction, the school will be able to admit up to 1,120 pupils and the total area of ​​the building will reach almost 8.7 thousand. sq.m. m.

After the reconstruction of Raudondvaris Gymnasium, 38 educational classes, sports and acts, library, canteen were planned to be installed. There will be a 73 parking lot.

The end of the works is provided for in 2026. in the spring.

During the visit, a new project of VMU Biotechnology Park was presented in Kaunas district, strengthening the region’s innovation potential and research base. In addition, G. Paluck had the opportunity to evaluate the achievements of VMU Ugne Karvelis Gymnasium. It is the first school in Lithuania to practice the Millennium School program project, during which a modern annex was built. The value of this project is $ 9.6 million. of which EUR 2.86 million. The remainder of Kaunas District Municipality funds was allocated from the Millennium School Program.

The project includes sixteen grades, a modern physics laboratory, recreation and education spaces, sensory rooms, and other infrastructure has been renovated.

The Kačerginė Multifunctional Center, along with the Mastaičiai pool, Mastaičiai Primary School and Zapyškis Elementary School, were renovated according to the Public and Private Partnership Model (GPPP). The project has won a special certificate of the United Nations European Economic Commission (Unece) and has become an example for other European municipalities.

The identity of Kačerginė is associated with the resort area, so Kaunas District Municipality invests in the infrastructure of tourism, medicine and health services. The recently signed agreement with LSMU Kaunas Hospital will enable modernization and expansion of the Children’s Diseases Clinic Rehabilitation Unit « Žibutė ». LSMU CEO CEO prof. Diana Žaliaduonytė presented Prime Minister G. Paluck, Minister of Health Marija Jakubauskienė and other participants of the visit by prof. The idea of ​​Rimantas Benney from Japan from the Medical Rehabilitation and Prevention Center, focused on the development of modern innovative medical services, is ready to implement the project partner – LSMU Kaunas Hospital and Kaunas District Municipality. Preparing for development

The prime minister, who visited Kaunas district, also visited Giraitė, where an ammunition factory is located. The existing geopolitical context is considered about the development of the factory, but Paluck said additional assessments are still required.
