Vignettes
Just under 2 million vignettes have been sold since the beginning of the year, with revenue exceeding BGN 100 million. The most preferred are the annual, with half the bought, followed by the weekly. This shows that many people have bought a vignette before new prices came into force, but in general, at the end of the year, most vignettes expire.
The new prices:
- Annual vignette – 97 BGN
- Quarterly vignette – 54 BGN.
- Monthly vignette – 30 BGN
- Weekly vignette – 15 BGN
- Weekend vignette – 10 BGN

Excise duties
As of May 1, there are also higher excise duties of tobacco products, which will lead to their higher prices. In practice, with the adoption of the budget this year, the excise calendar was adjusted with a pre -extinguishing effect and the excise duty, which was previously planned for 2026, comes into force now.
According to the registers of the Customs Agency, tobacco companies have not yet registered new higher prices, but the press center of the unit explained to the « Dnevnik » that they make similar changes and regularly during the year.
Gas
With the warming of the weather, it has traditionally fallen for natural gas and for May the approved price by the Energy and Water Regulation Commission reaches BGN 64.40. Compared to April, the price is reduced by over 14%.
