Several new products of the Shanghai car dealership may appear on sale in Russia. Among them are the potential competitors of Lixiang – hybrid Zeekr 9x and Avatr 07. But some of the dealers cast doubt on the quickly emergence of new models in the market, pointing out reservoirs and low demand.
Cars of Chinese brands Hongqi, Gac, Aito, Voyah, M-Hero, Chero, Jetour, Zeekr, Avatr and Soueast, presented at the Shanghai Motor Show in late April-early May, may appear on sale in the Russian Federation, Kommersant’s market participants told Kommersant. Although, in general, according to Kommersant, the car dealership this year did not particularly surprise Russian dealers with new products that are potentially interesting for imports.
One of Kommersant’s interlocutors clarifies that a hybrid Hongqi H5 can come to the car market of the Russian Federation. The previously presented Hongqi L1 model will reach the country for sure: information about this was confirmed by Kommersant in the company. The GAC announced plans for the supply of model S7, in Aito Seres – the M9 and M8 crossovers again demonstrated in China. Among the premieres of Dongfeng, the import of the new electric SUV M-Hero 817 is likely, the Kommersant source clarifies. Also on sale in the Russian Federation in the future may be the Voyah Free 318 model. “Voyah Passion sedan with a hybrid power plant will definitely appear in the near future,” adds another interlocutor of Kommersant. The Soueast (included in the CHESH Auto -Concert) said that the Russian Federation is one of the priority areas of development in the international market, and the new models will replenish the product proposal in the country in the next few years. Specific cars in the company were not called, adding that the official output of Avatr 12 and Avatr 07 models will be held in the Russian market in the second half of this year and in 2026, respectively.
The highest chances of appearing on the Russian market are among Chinese manufacturers who are already conducting their activities in the country, says Evgeny Zhitnykhin, commercial director of the Fresh automotive market. “For example, an all -wheel drive Jetour T1 in an original body kit with three electric motors, as well as a pickup under the new Reaolo brand (belongs to Cher. « Kommersant »), ”He notes. Director of the Department of New Cars of Rolf, Nikolai Ivanov, admits the supply of premium Zeekr 9x to Russia. Nevertheless, there is always demand for new products, Mr. Olkhovsky clarifies, but if now this demand is transferred to the amount, it is very limited.
According to Avtostat, in March the market of new cars decreased by 45.5% year by the year, to 79.8 thousand pieces (see Kommersant from April 5). April, according to Kommersant surveyed by experts and industry participants, will be higher than March indicators, but will not catch up with last year’s sales. The reason for this is the high base of 2024, low demand, high credit rates and reservoirs in the market. The aggregate drains of foreign cars and Russian -made vehicles in the country reach about 500 thousand pieces, Avtostat CEO Sergey Tselikov estimates.
