West is tactical, east is strategy
Like all Washington opponents, Iran has proven to be unprepared. Muslims never take over the initiative. They stand like fixed targets, until they are beheaded. Instead of taking over the initiative in front of Israel, the Iranians exposed themselves to a strong attack, and their response was weak. And the wars cannot be won only by responding.

It is obvious that Washington – or who is actually the master of Washington – wanted this war. It was obvious from the beginning, from Donald Trump’s « negotiations » with Iran. Trump’s definition for « negotiations » is another example of the new Orwellian language. By negotiation, Trump understands « submit to Washington’s requests. » Otherwise, the US « negotiation » partner would be punished or destroyed. An analysis published by journalist Wolfgang Munchau, however, shows that the global south – with Russia, China, Iran, India, Indonesia and many other states – is not unprepared. On the contrary, Russia and China play strategically, while the West impresses only at the tactical level, but unable to pursue long -term goals. Economists, US State Department, Brussels Eurocrats and Western journalists live in a bubble of unique and erroneous thinking. They all celebrate every tactical victory, but I can’t win any war.

The west knows only tactical. The east focuses prepondeingly on the strategy. You have to have them both, because even the brightest tactical movements cannot create a strategy. Just look at US military interventions after World War II. They all had a short -term logic, even Iraq. Did they make these wars for America to be safer? That the world is safer? Did they bring democracy? Did the people of those more civilized countries become?
The blow of Israel on Iran is a classic example of short -term tactics, to the detriment of a long -term strategy. The attack of Israel will be very successful at the tactical level, perhaps a sensational success, but will not stop the Iranian nuclear program. Any Iranian strategist and any strategist in the world who has the mind at him can only draw a single conclusion after the attack of Israel: that Iran needs nuclear weapon, like other countries in the region need nuclear weapon. The great regret of Ukraine at this time is that it has given up the Soviet nuclear arsenal. If they had those weapons, Putin would not have attacked Ukraine.
The lack of strategic thinking plays an important role in the decline of the West. The biggest strategic autogole that the west was also the proximity between China and Russia, but also between these two states and Iran. It does not form an alliance in the western sense, but they have a common purpose: to become independent of western coercion.
Our sanctions, the prohibitions we imposed on these countries, our wars through the power of attorney-all had an opposite effect. The sanctions were a tactic without effect. Russia has grown economically faster than West and now has a war savings that Europeans can barely keep up. But the biggest failure in the West was strategic, because the financial sanctions convinced China and Russia to develop another system of payments.
The first part of this system is Brics Pay. The BRICS group has expanded to ten countries, by the accession of Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and United Arab Emirates and Iran. It is not a group like NATO or EU. But they have in common the desire to be independent of the western monopolies. Western monopoly on payment systems allows US or EU to impose financial sanctions. However, when you start to abuse these sanctions, you give the other countries to get out of your system.
Brics Pay was developed at the University of St. Petersburg. It is different from western payment systems, because it is decentralized, it does not have an owner, it is based on cryptocurrency technology – blockchain. It is a system that cannot be said to sanctions. Nor can his members sanction each other. And if you want to be independent of the US, the wisest is to start with a payment system.
I no longer have respect for the western NGO experts, because they mistakenly judge this key element of the Russian and Chinese strategy. They still say that Russia and China will not understand each other or that China will stop Putin to use nuclear weapon. These trial errors extend to all levels. The Biden Administration misused the ban on chip exports to China. They thought that they would keep China in the Digital Middle Ages. But then they were surprised to see that Huawei integrated some last -minute chips in their last products. This prohibition had unforeseen consequences – China learned how to manufacture high -performance chips, and Russia learned how to build a payment system.
The state department still believes that the dollar is the unbeatable political weapon that will impose the US will on other states. It is true that no coin will be able to compete with the dollar-the euro has begun its existence as the second coin after the dollar, but now it has reached the third place, after gold. But the western does not seem able to see where the threat comes from. It comes from alternative payment systems, from cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies. Western macroeconomists still live in the world of fiduciary currencies, a creation of modern industrial society. But China and Russia have changed the rules of the game.
Unlike the west, China thought strategically and made two great movements. The first one is about the economic modernization policies of Deng Xiaoping, who came to power in 1978. The West missed the wrong judgment and saw in these reforms an attempt to translate them to capitalism. But the purpose was to make communism work better. Deng’s reforms were a long -term strategy. Were continued by his successors. Now China is the most industrially advanced country around the world.
The second great strategy was Xi Jinping’s decision to use critical minerals to turn China into an indispensable manufacturer in the world. The US is still enjoying the fruits of the digital revolution. But they are no longer alone, because China has begun to take leadership in this area. Stanford University points out that most works on artificial intelligence are published in China. China also has an advantage on the technology side, and on the raw material side.
The tactic can be like a bright gift, but the strategy is a gift that is made to you. Westerners are inclined to tactic, not to strategy. It is not bad, but as long as you have a strategy that works in the background. Chess players know that well. Bobby Fischer said: « Tactic derives from a position of superiority. » West has lost its upper position. And Israel.
