Weekend of different Modes on Dorcol Platu: 30 brands, workshop, initiative – culture
Under the slogan, « Hurry slowly » festival was held on 31. May at the Dorcol Platu in Belgrade.
The third edition of the festival differently showed that a sustainable fashion is neither a trend nor a passing story but a community that grows, learns and stronger women who create, exchang and empower each other.
At this inspiring event, visitors had the opportunity to get to know the work of as many as 30 brands, workshops and initiatives from Serbia and the region.
Dresses made of natural materials, the bags of recycling fabrics, unique berths and pieces caused by textile surpluses were only part of the offer of different fashion, those who think, is no hurry and remains.
« This year, we have shown how much we can and when we have space, we have been building a sustainable fashion, and aware that recognizes the value of local and conscious fashion, » one of the organizers of Katarina Ejdus festival.
An additional program of the festival attracted the audience interested in business development, innovation in the textile industry and strengthening of women’s entrepreneurship. Masterclasses and panel discussions gathered experts and visitor who want to expand their knowledge and network of contacts in the area of the Os-Rživa Mode.
One of the most visited places was a solidarity corner, part of the festival dedicated to social change initiatives, such as a caravan differently fashion, graduation for all and imprints of existence.
« Solidar Corner is important for us because it reminds us that the Pro-Stor is often forgotten, and called on the readers to favor the festival differently modes on instagram and more informed about these initiatives, but also detours with experts spoken in an additional program.
The day was completed by the practical workshop of « Loop of Internal Peace », which participants learned how to scrunch Scrunchie rubbers as an example of spores, conscious fashion and space for themselves.
The festival of different Mode was founded Association Nitna And the social enterprise Women on the Way as a non-profit platform with a desire to launch changes in industry, but also in the way we look at ourselves, other women and what we wear.
