In the meantime, the thunderstorms that occurred on Sunday (25/05), mainly in the continental parts of the country, were also accompanied by significant electrical activity.
According to records by the Lightning Imager instrument of the meteosat-12 meteorological satellite, from the beginning of the 24 hours to 21:40 Greek time, 12,664 electrical discharges were recorded over the region of Greece.
