The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management has provided a long -term weather forecast, including the period of this year’s holidays. In previous years, the weather during Easter was capricious – there was snowfall and temperatures did not spoil. Will it be different this time?
Weather for Easter. There is no madness
According to the latest IMGW predictions, weeks from April 14 to 20 and from April 21 to 27, i.e. the period covering Easter, They promise to be cooler than usual. Compared to the average temperatures from 1991-2020, lower values are expected. In the west and north of the country from April 14 to 20 Average temperatures may be lower than the norm by 0.2 to 0.8 degrees, while in other regions they are expected slightly higher – the largest positive anomaly, reaching 1.3 degrees, is forecast in the southeast.

Forecast maximum temperatures do not impress
As for maximum temperatures, IMGW predicts that in April 14-20 Average values will exceed 10 degrees throughout the country. The coldest will be in the north and in the foothill regions, where thermometers will show about 10 degrees, while the warmest in the south, southwest and central Poland – there the average maximum temperature will reach 14 degrees.
The following week, from April 21 to 27, are expected slightly higher maximum temperatures: from 11 degrees in the north and in the mountains to 15 degrees in the southwest, south -east and in the center.

According to IMGW forecasts, Average minimum temperatures should not fall below zero. In the week from April 21 to 27, in most of Poland, the average minimum temperature will be about 6 degrees, and in the southeast can reach up to 7 degrees.
