Weather: EMY Extraordinary Bulletin

Worsens in the next few hours weatheras the NMS issued an extraordinary stormy winds in the Aegean. There is a gradual and significant reinforcement of the north, northeast winds from Sunday night and especially on Monday.

This is the result of a change in atmospheric circulation in the coming hours over southeastern Europe, with the rapid growth of high pressures above the Balkans.

According to the latest predictions of the National Observatory of Athens/meteo.gr, northeast winds in the Aegean are expected to prevail on Monday with tensions of up to 6-7 and local 8 beaufort, while in the Ionian, 6-east-east are expected in the Ionian.

The gusts of the wind in sections of the Aegean and in the continents are expected to exceed 70-80 km/h and locally 90-100 km/h, as distinguished by the relevant maps for Monday morning and afternoon.

At the same time, with the prevalence of the North on Monday 28/04, a slight drop in temperature in the eastern country is expected to 3-4 degrees from Sunday 28/04.

Rain and sporadic, in places, thunderstorms are the characteristics of weather for Sunday, with gradual improvement expected in most areas in the evening.

In general, the weather will be unstable, with rains and sporadic thunderstorms initially in Thessaly, Sporades, Euboea, Eastern Solidarity, Eastern Macedonia, Thrace, temporarily in the central and northern Aegean and gradually in the rest of the Epirus.

The phenomena are likely to be strong in the afternoon and are not excluded that they are accompanied by temporary hailstorms. Visibility in the morning hours to the west will be locally limited.
