« Unjust, » the passengers respond. We asked about their opinion at the railway station in Humenné.

Three euros are too much

Humenčan Pavol (58) travels by train to the Czech Republic approximately once a month. He always buys a ticket at the cash register at the station. It considers a one -euro service fee to be a « bad » solution. “It's not okay. Not everyone can use digital technologies, ”he says.

Mary (68) takes advantage of free travel. “Even if I had to buy a ticket, I would do so through the app. I worked with a computer in my job, I don't find it a problem to get a ticket in this way. Although I admit that many may have a problem. Now I bought a ticket over the Internet, but I did not receive any document, although everything went through. I had to repeat the process, ”he says.

“Like everything – it will be good for who. I can not buy a ticket over the Internet, I always go to the treasury, even if it is more expensive, ”says Maria from Medzilaborce.

“I understand that the cash register workers need to be paid, but on short routes, the euro fee is unnecessarily high, sometimes even higher than the price of the ticket. The amount of the fee should depend on the number of kilometers. When you travel far, the euro is no problem. However, three euros are really exaggerated with the wizard, ”he adds.

The paying passenger must be adapted to

Michal (31) knows the fee from the Czech Republic where it comes from. The train journey in Slovakia is set out once a week. He bought the ticket for the finished in the cash register. « I'm traveling on a business trip, so money doesn't go out of my pocket, » he says.

The problem is that the ticket with the euro fee is overpriced for short distances, and that some passengers will enter the last minute train and the ticket with the guide will cost them three euros more expensive. “Some have reliefs and are still trying to discount them, unfortunately the regular paying passenger must adapt to the news. I don't like it, ”he adds.

Diana (20) considers an increase in the fee by euro and three euros, respectively, for a disadvantageous solution. « It's unfair, » he thinks. He buys tickets exclusively electronically, but he understands the older generation, which is not such a proficiency in the use of technology.

“As if we replaced free travel outages by these fees. I consider it stupid, ”he adds.
