We will not vote for constitutional changes until Bulgaria has completed its commitments, Mickoski said

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said tonight that he did not plan to vote for constitutional changes, until Bulgaria assumes its obligations that he has undertaken, that is to respect the rights of all minorities.

Speaking of « Only Interview » on Channel 5 Television, when asked about the strategic partnership with the United States and if Washington says constitutional changes should be voted on, Mickoski said that would not happen.

– I will not vote, that will not happen. I will not vote until Bulgaria has also completed its obligations that it has undertaken, which is to respect the rights of all minorities. And those rights are contained in the judgments of the Human Rights Court in Strasbourg – replied Mickoski.

Regarding the new political government in Bulgaria and whether it will move things, Mickoski referred to the meeting of Foreign and Foreign Minister Timco Mucunski and Georg Georgiev in Munich, pointing out that this did not move things and that we did not come to an understanding.

-The NATO partner is our eastern neighbor, says today's decision not to invest in Corridor 8, which is second in importance for the Alliance they signed at the Washington Summit in July. Their government has decided not to invest in the modernization of Corridor 8. If they have made such a decision for Corridor 8, which should have been the formal that they are accusing, today, so imagine what awaits us further – said Mickoski.

According to him, Macedonia's EU membership does not depend on any resolution, but on the bilateral relations that unfortunately said this was allowed by the European Union.

-Until you show the character and values you believe in, they will not appreciate you. You know that story with the snail, if you think that you get to the top you are lying, at least I don't think so. I am an advocate of the thesis better difficult than shameful. And these are the principles and values I believe in – says the prime minister.

He noted that « our proximity and distance with the EU does not depend on whether we are co-sponsors of this or that resolution, but depends solely on bilateral issues, which unfortunately the same EU allowed them to happen. »

« Do I am wrong I don't know if I will succeed in this I don't know, I have received the legitimacy from the citizens 9 months ago, half a million people came out and voted, » Mickoski said. I have no intention of kissing pens, smiling as they insult me, humiliate and humiliate, what I think and my arguments I have, I do not say they are the most essential and most accurate, but I have received the confidence of the citizens to present those arguments that defend the interests of this state.

According to him, we, as a small people and as one of the smaller countries in Europe, should always stick to our biggest strategic partners.

-This does not mean that we should be side by side and with our European partners. We need to pursue a clever policy. There are many EU member states, but also candidates who have cooperated with East states, so they have progressed within EU membership, unfortunately we have not progressed. When you have a double standard and an exception, it becomes a practice – said Mickoski.

He said the opposition's concerns about our EU relations because of strategic relations with the United States is a hypocritical relationship.

-In the opposition there will always be a dilemma whatever we do, and I do not expect that the opposition will come up with support for the steps made by VMRO-DPMNE and made by the Macedonian government. Their concerns are based on hypocrisy because if you remember yesterday when lawmakers disappeared, they said they were in Brussels with the heart, and with the soul in Washington, in the name of presenting that the United States is our most important strategic partner – the prime minister said.
