We were on midnight sales of Nintendo Switch 2

More than eight years have passed since we first caught in our hands game console Nintendo Switch. During that time, the company has sold more than 150 million pieces worldwide and built a large group of fans.

It is Wednesday, June 5, and I come to the first of two stores organized in Slovakia by midnight sales of the second generation of the long -awaited console. We have seen Nintendo Switch 2.

He still wants to be a versatile solution for home entertainment and also the fun on the road. It is therefore not a competition for Sony and Microsoft consoles, but rather an alternative to Steam Deck from Valve or Lenovo Legion Go.

Midnight sales only in Bratislava

For fans of Nintendo in Slovakia, the sale was launched at midnight. Midnight sales was only in Bratislavain two different stores in one shopping center. The neighboring Czech Republic was better. Midnight sales took place in Prague and Brno, a total of four shops.

Operations attracted customers for more favorable prices for selected games and accessories, a symbolic accompanying program, but also for bonus gifts.

However, pre -orders were accompanied by the usual problems in the form of uncertainty of timely delivery and the absence of more detailed information from some dealers. Many interested parties who ordered the console in April, nor did they know if they would reach it on the day of release.

Of course, the internet bazaar has been full of offers from traffickers a long time before the launch of sales. They were not ashamed to abuse the confusing situation and offered consoles for up to 800 euros. However, the official price of Switch 2 without any game or accessory was set at EUR 499.

While unofficial information from some dealers has confirmed more demand than the offer, it should not be forgotten that many candidates make orders for sure in at least two stores.

It is therefore likely that a larger number of reserved pieces will be released soon. If you didn’t miss the console on the first day, ignore traffickers and wait. It is not worth paying for the console or even for the release of the reservation.

Were waiting for several hours

I come to the shopping center approximately an hour before the start of midnight sales. I approach the first store and from a distance I see a crowd of about forty people, mostly in younger and middle age.

The second store is only one floor higher, waiting a little less people in front of it. The age composition is similar, school children could be counted on the fingers of one hand.

I come to the entrance to the store and talk to the first waiting. One of the candidates is called David and according to his words standing here from about half eighth in the evening. He was willing to spend more than four hours before the store just to get to the new console first. Even though he is a fan of games, the first generation of the Switch game console does not own.

Next to him stands a pair of even younger fans who came accompanied by their parents. One of them is one of the completely rocky ones, because it holds the Nintendo 3DS, which started to be sold more than 14 years ago. Today it is a legend.

The composition of the waiting is different, although men predominate, women usually accompany or oversee women. Alternatively, they came in the role of a parent who wants to make their children happy.

This is also the case of a married couple standing in front of me. Their son liked Switch for the first generation, and since he will soon have a birthday, his parents want to make him happy. Like many other customers, they also have an old console in their bag, which the seller will buy from them. At Switch 2 then they get discount.

It’s here. At midnight, stores open and people move decently to the cash registers. No aggression, no quarrels, consoles are enough. As it became clear, those who had no pre -order could buy it without any problems.

A glimpse of online store offers shows that the distributor has brought enough pieces to Slovakia. Midnight sales have long been over, but the consoles are at the moment every store in stock.
