At the beginning of March, when the manufacturer introduced series 15, We have already briefly describedwhat new features and abilities have been scored by Xiaomi’s new top models. Following the global premiere, on April 14, the products were presented in Hungary at the Budapest Operetta Theater. At the event, we were able to try what the Leica lenses are capable of, and for a few days we also tested how the device is supernatural during everyday use Xiaomi 15 ultra.
First impressions
At first glance, the Beijing manufacturer stood to make the Xiaomi 15 Ultra a transition between mobile phones and photographers. On the back of the camera, the lenses were placed on a circular shape similar to a camera lens, as it was also at the previous series. There is some difference in the arrangement of the cameras, but since they are built into a frame, the change is not striking. Like the 14 ultra, the back cover is still covered with black imitation leather, but there is an exciting innovation for the outside: one side of the device is placed an elegant silver strip, which makes the mobile more similar to a camera. In addition, the clean design remained with a thin silver frame around the screen. The corners are slightly rounded, which is convenient during use.
It is available in two versions in Hungary: black-silver and classic black design. The good news is that Xiaomi has packed a phone next to the mobile this year, this time coming with a completely transparent accessory, so the design does not disappear with extra protection.
However, it is good to know that, in contrast to Xiaomi 14 Ultra, this year, the 90W charging head is not accompanied by accessories, which was a huge advantage last year’s package.
Is a camera island on the phone comfortable?
With such a large camera arrangement, it is always questionable how disturbing it is. If you take the device in your hands, your finger will quickly get into the lens, as more than 1/3 of the phone will be covered by the camera system. For me, it was strange in the first few days, but you can get used to it soon. The good news, however, is that since the lens is in the middle, it doesn’t bustle when we put it down.
Battery time is peak?
Battery capacity is always a cardinal issue for phones. In the previous series, Xiaomi’s high-end phone was strong in this area: not only did it fill up to 50%with lightning fast, but it could last for a very long time. Fortunately, the manufacturer and even the previous 5,000 milliampere performance has not been allowed this year, now increasing to 5410, leaving the Samsung flagship Also s25 ultra. In addition, the full level of charge is available in one hour. When watching a video, you don’t have to worry about uploading your phone several times a day.
We tested the cameras under extreme circumstances
Not only externally but also in performance, cameras were in the focus. THE Xiaomi 15 Ultra is a Leica 23mm 1-inch main camera equipped with a 50 second Sony Lyt-900 image sensor. And with Leica Summilux optical lens you can take photos on multiple focal lengths (23 mm, 28 mm and 35 mm), which allows you to quickly take a variety of images from the same. What is also outstanding is that it has a high dynamic range of 14 years, making good pictures with weak and extreme light conditions.
Outside the main camera received an 70 mm leica telephoto lens, which can be used for portrait and macro. If the moments in the distance were to be easily caught, then the 200 second ultra telephoto lens We can use 4.3x optical zoom. In addition, the Ultra Telephoto Fast Capture feature also helps to capture quick movements. And the fourth camera is one Ultra wide-angle 14 mm lens, which is also useful for exciting shots and landscapes and group pictures.
Of course, Leica lenses are also useful in video, all of which are suitable for 4K videos at 120 fps. Better shots are also supported by optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS), which improves trembling, making it easier to make nicer videos from hand.
