According to BTHK data; Mobile communication providers’ net sales revenues in recent years increased by 87.31 percent compared to the previous year last year and rose to 3 billion 554 million 248 thousand 799 TL. Looking at the last four -year data, the biggest difference was recorded in 2020. So much so; In 2020, the annual net sales revenues of the sectors recorded as 514.1 million TL increased by 591.29 percent at the end of 2024 and reached TL 3.5 billion.

As of the end of the fourth quarter of 2024, there are 58 authorized electronic communication providers operating in the electronic communication sector in our country.
Net sales revenues of Mobile Network Electronic Communication Providers (Cyprus Mobile Telecommunication Ltd. & Vodafone Mobile Operations Ltd.) and Net sales revenues in the fixed network were approximately 697 million TL.
Net sales revenues of the internet service providers, which can be called other communication providers, were recorded as TL 411 million in the fourth quarter of 2024, the revenues of the call transport operators 680 TL and the revenue of infrastructure management was 12.4 million TL.
Revenues are increasing exponentially every year
In 2024, the annual net sales revenues of the sectors increased by 87.31 percent compared to the previous year.
According to BTHK data; Annual net sales revenues of mobile communication providers, fixed communication provider and internet service providers increased by 87 percent compared to the previous year and reached 3 billion 554 million TL. So much so that in 2023, the annual net sales revenues of the sectors were 1 billion 897 million TL.
When the last 4 -year data were examined, the annual net sales revenues of the sectors at the end of 2024 increased by 591.29 percent compared to 2020, which was 4 years ago. The annual sales revenue obtained at the end of last year increased by 546.7 percent compared to 2021; It increased by 251.80 percent compared to 2022. Accordingly, the net sales revenues of the sectors in 2020 514 million 141 thousand TL, 650 million 8 thousand TL in 2021, while in 2022 this figure exceeded 1 billion TL to 1 billion 10 million TL.
57 percent of revenues are in mobile communication providers
When we look at the percentage distribution of the total income obtained between the years 2023 and 2024, communication providers operating in the mobile network, 1 billion TL in 2023, fixed communication provider of approximately 115 million TL, fixed large band communication providers, approximately 738 million TL, call transport operators 467 thousand TL and infrastructure operators obtained 19.3 million TL.
Approximately 57 percent of the total revenues obtained in 2024 have obtained mobile communication providers, 6 percent of fixed communication providers, 37 percent of internet service providers and 1 percent of infrastructure operators.
When we look at the previous year, 2023, 54 percent of the total revenues obtained mobile communication providers, 6 percent of fixed communication provider and 39 percent internet service providers and 1 percent of the infrastructure operators obtained.
Mobile Revenues 2 billion TL
Since the annual net sales revenues obtained from mobile telecommunication services since 2015, mobile revenues have been treated to increase over the years.
The highest increase was last year. So much so that in 2024, mobile revenues increased by 96 percent compared to the previous year and reached TL 2 billion.
In 2016, mobile revenues increased by 6 percent compared to the previous year to TL 227.3 million, increased by 9 percent in 2017 to TL 248 million, increased by 11 percent in 2018 to 276 million TL, increased by 12 percent in 2019 to 310 million TL.
In 2020, mobile revenues increased by 6 percent compared to the previous year to TL 329 million, increased by 26.8 percent in 2021 to TL 417 million, increased by 46 percent in 2022 to 611 million TL; In 2023, it increased by 68 percent to TL 1 billion.
17 percent increased compared to the previous period
Net sales revenues in the fourth quarter of 2024 covering the October-November-December month of mobile communication providers increased by 17 percent to TL 623.3 million compared to the previous quarter, covering the months of July-August-September.
The net sales revenues of mobile communication providers in the last period, compared to the same quarter of the previous year, increased by 89 percent. So much so that in the fourth quarter of 2023, net sales revenues were 328.2 million TL.
3.2 billion TL growth in 10 years
In the last decade, which covers the years 2014-2024, a growth of TL 3.2 billion in the electronic communication sector has grew. It approached TL 3.6 billion in 2024.
Income in the fixed market increased by 78 percent
When we look at the net sales information obtained from fixed telecommunication services annually; At the end of 2017, fixed revenues were 51 million TL and decreased by 1 percent compared to the previous year. However, at the end of the next year, fixed revenues increased by 3 percent to TL 53 million.
At the end of 2019, fixed revenues increased by 37 percent to TL 71 million, while the next year, in 2020, decreased by 28 percent to 52 million TL.
At the end of 2021, fixed revenues increased by 29.8 percent to TL 67 million, increased by 4.7 percent in 2022 to 70 million TL.
In the following years, fixed revenues continued to rise in the end of 2023 increased by 63.5 percent to TL 114.7 million, at the end of 2024 increased by 78 percent to 201.1 million TL reached.
Apartment revenues increased by 48 percent
Looking at the quarter data, the total revenues of the Telecommunications Department in the fourth quarter of 2024 increased by 48 percent compared to the previous period to 74 million 265 thousand 317 TL.
Looking at the distribution of net revenues of the Telecommunications Department in the fixed market; XDSL, infrastructure and parcel, data circuit, pstn, access, other revenues, PSTN subscription, interim connection and guidance service revenues and data subscription increased compared to the previous period, while XDSL subscription revenues decreased.
2024 In the third quarter, PSTN services, which obtained 3.7 percent of the total income in the third quarter, constitute 3.1 percent of total revenues in the fourth quarter of 2024; The share of subscription revenues, which has a share of 15.2 percent in the third quarter of 2024 in the third quarter, was 13.4 percent in the total income in the fourth quarter of 2024.
In the third quarter of 2024 data circuit revenues, 19.2 percent of total fixed revenues; The share of the same service rose to 19.8 percent in the fourth quarter of 2024.
